Lucky vs blessed! 💙

Not Lucky — Blessed for a Purpose
The world often tells us we are lucky.
Lucky to wake up this morning.
Lucky to have food.
Lucky when something good happens.
Lucky when life finally goes our way.
But as believers, we know something deeper.
We are not walking through random chance or good fortune. We are living inside intentional love, careful design, and undeserved grace. That isn’t luck.
That is blessing.
Luck says things happen by accident.
Blessing says things happen on purpose.
Luck gives credit to coincidence.
Blessing gives glory to YHWH.
Every breath we take is a gift. Every open door is mercy. Every closed door is protection. Even the challenges we face are shaping us, strengthening us, and drawing us closer to the One who sees the full picture.
When we say we are “lucky,” we shrink what YHWH has done. We reduce His hand to chance. But when we say we are blessed, we acknowledge His presence in every detail of our lives.
Blessing reminds us:
• We are chosen, not random
• We are cared for, not forgotten
• We are guided, not wandering alone
And blessings are not just about the good moments.
Sometimes the blessing is protection we didn’t notice.
Sometimes the blessing is growth through hardship.
Sometimes the blessing is learning to trust when we don’t understand.
Because blessing isn’t about comfort — it’s about purpose.
When we truly understand that we are blessed, gratitude fills our hearts. Complaints grow quieter. Pride fades. We stop chasing recognition and start seeking obedience.
Being blessed means we don’t live for ourselves anymore.
We honor YHWH with our words.
We honor Him with our choices.
We honor Him with our talents.
We honor Him with how we treat people.
Not because we have to, but because gratitude makes us want to.
A blessed life is a life that reflects its Giver.
So instead of saying:
“I got lucky.”
Try saying:
“YHWH has been good to me.”
Instead of boasting in coincidence, rejoice in His faithfulness. Instead of crediting chance, give thanks for divine care.
Because when we recognize blessing, we begin to live differently.
We walk humbly.
We speak kindly.
We give generously.
We worship sincerely.
We remember that every good thing flows from a loving Father who deserves honor in return.
You are not lucky.
You are seen.
You are known.
You are provided for.
You are protected.
You are blessed.
And a blessed life should always point back to the One who gave it.
Honor Him in everything.
